EK Staff: How to refund confirm tkts on TRIPS?
 

Hi guys! I know this is very silly question but this is my first time refunding a confirm tkt. I have refunded a standby tkt before and what I did was I cancelled the listing, then refunded the tkt. I tried to go to TRIPS to refund my cat 99 tkt but when I tried to refund the cat 99, there is no option to cancel the listing/booking. I tried to go directly to refund link but it clearly says to make sure that the booking is cancelled before proceeding. Is it okay to just go to refund link and do it?

And one more inquiry, I have to visit my home country 2 days from now and I'm thinking of using my unused annual tkt. Is it possible for staff travel to issue my annual tkt in a short period of time? I can't contact them right now since it's weekend. But I hope I can do something, maybe go to HQ?

Sorry for having lots of questions. I don't use the tickets often so I'm clueless about all these things. Hope you guys can help me. Thanks in advance! :)

Go to TRIPS, rebooking, select the confirmed tickets, then cancel them. 1 month after they were issued, on the centre section of the TRIPS homepage, go to refunds and select the appropriate ticket - will refund into your payslip.

If you ALT has not been issued, it can take them a few days to do it. Request it online and then call staff travel and hold forever to speak to a real person who might issue it. Failing that it's probably a long wait at EGHQ!
A useful tip for ALTs, because it takes them so long to issue, when you are eligible, book one for a year in advance on some random date, then you can just use the rebooking option to bring it forward and change it as often as you like - instantly.

Thanks a lot irish777! I cancelled the ticket and will just wait for few more wks to refund. Tomorrow i will call Staff Travel. I hope they answer the call, ive tried calling them lots of times but they just put me on hold lol
