Don, the numbers I ran, don't reflect your numbers, and mine have been based off what was actually achieved, with actual pax numbers for both sectors.
I was actually rather surprised, but it backs up what others on the Whale have told me. |
You financialnauts should join the bean counting department. The company bought the planes. They pay you to fly them as efficiently as possible. Halas...

Name 1 A380 route which is replaced by the 777 recently?
Narita Hong Kong (previously mentioned, 380 down to only BKK shuttle and 1 HKG direct/week) |
The only reason the whale was taken off NRT was because they started HND and they knew all the pax would go for that flight because of the proximity to the city... no airline would continue to operate an aircraft on a route that had no traffic.
Every NRT I ever flew was full to the brim. So the 380 was ideal because the loads supported it. That has now changed since a more convenient route has opened up. I don't believe it had anything to do with any "shortfall" of the aircraft on that particular route.... |
JAA only one princess seems to be crying into her beer, and you would need to stand pretty close to the mirror to see her.
The don Falcon, I think you need to run those numbers again fella. |
I can add from a pax perspective with many gold for life accounts with a few airlines..I avoid the 777 where possible due to the loudness of the cabin and air quality. The second planes I avoid is 767 and 744 in that order. My fav aircraft is the A346 up front smooth and quiet as is the 330. A380 is just a delight for a passenger.
It's not all about the bean counters and pilots. Airbus planes are much more pax friendly I'd have to say. My 2 cents |
The Air Force issued a Presidential Aircraft Recapitalization& request earlier this month, saying it doesnt want its new aircraft before 2021, although it wants a four-engine model. |
