Flydubai (NOT recruitment pages)
Passing through customs today, I heard a Captain say he received a DHS1000 pay rise in may. Also one Cabin Crew said his duty pay went from Dhs30 to Dhs 34. Did the F/O's get anything? I have had no webmail or gateway message.
Can anyone verify the above? |
FO's got 5 AED added to the hourly flight pay for May. Also: '...as we maintain profitability we anticipate the ability for further adjustments in the future'....
|
Yes, I just got that via outlook. That equates to 4.5%
Cabin crew, if they went from Dhs30 to Dhs34 equates to 13%. Captains, I believe got Dhs1000 but I don't know if it was an increase on the Basic or if it was an increase to their Flight Duty Pay. Such a shame we have to communicate like this. Perhaps its due to lack of trust......... |
Its a bit naughty to give a raise based on flight pay as its a variable every month with rostered hours/leave/sick. Also it has no effect on the end of service benefit.
I would just like to add that i may be willing to go the "extra mile" when a roster is issued with more than 2 days off together. S3H |
Not all captains got a pay rise! :(
|
i can confirm that I got sweet f**k all... aside from a standard update from the CP that "there'll be jam tomorrow" ! :(
|
King but you received a nice letter regarding "running a race" my friend.
|
ok, so some didn't get a Flight Duty pay increase. Is this therefore supposed to be some kind of correction to the pay scale rather than a pay increase?
|
'Tis true, all the captains who have been here the longest and help set the operation up, flew some shocking schedules and put in all this time got nada and those who joined recently get a raise.
Something to do with trying to get all skippers on the same rate. Yeah, why should all the long timers get even more of a raise, after all what have they ever done:{ As for our recent mail to inspire the troops to go the extra (nautical) mile....:mad::mad: |
True Colors
Me? Well, I will be off just as soon as possible if my package doesn't keep pace with either inflation or House/School fee rises! I simply will not stay away from family and friends to subsidise my job.
The company is beginning to show its true colors: 2012 saw a Flight Duty pay increase as it avoids their obligation to the end of term gratuity payment. 2013 sees the same avoidance and a stingy 5Dhs which equates to circa 1.5%. Meanwhile there are no changes to House or School allowances. And now they are introducing a pay to fly scheme for 200hr cadets. The only thing that is low cost is the salary. |
Why would they need to give the F/O's any incentive to stay if P2F cadets are to be introduced, 5 AED is sufficient surely.
I really can't understand why the rostering issue is allowed to fall of deaf ears, in my opinion this is the main reason why people are leaving and morale is sinking like a stone. Would have been nice to point this out on the survey if only we had somewhere to add information instead of just ticking a box. S3H P.S Surely they must have taken away his email privileges :ugh: |
And now they are introducing a pay to fly scheme for 200hr cadets. When is it supposed to start? |

Flydream1982 - I know there is one that's in the system at the moment. Don't know the full details apart from a couple of hundred hours and paid for the rating. Must be local as the GCAA won't issue licences to foreigners without a full ATPL.

Good to know,thanks!
Hopefully it will remain an isolated case... |
Average take home pay for a year one FO?
|
From what I understand, there's no pay scale based on longevity. Year one FO pay is the same as a year 3 FO.
If you are referring to tax withholds on your monthly check, there are non. Medical insurance for you, spouse and 3 kids is fully covered by the company also. Company advertises 39,500 AED per month based on 80hrs of flying a month. This amount includes basic salary, flight time pay (80hrs), transportation allowance and housing allowance. |
And yes, word is living in Dubai is expensive...
