Iran bans flights during Azan

" Iran's parliament has banned all airplanes from flying in the country during the Azan call to prayer, the Mehr news agency has reported.

"According to the new directive, airplanes are banned from flying during Azan, especially during the call to morning prayers," Mehr quoted the spokesman for parliament's cultural committee Ali Taheri as saying.

The head of the Aviation Organization, Hamid Reza Pahlevani, said aircraft will be allowed to take off 30 minutes after the call to the morning prayer so that passengers have the time "to carry out their religious duties", the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reported.

Taheri also reportedly said serious attention will be given to observing the strict Islamic dress code for women working at airports or airline companies. "

Kijangnim

I know you never change, but on this surely they jest.

So all the Dubai bound aircraft that fly through Iranian airspace at that time of the morning are now going to be;

1. Re routed
2. Denied clearance
3. Shot down.
4. Foced to land prior to Azan.

Please enlighten us.

Childish Iranians

loc22550 28th Dec 2012 23:09

Another storm in a glass of water...
IMHO mr bloggs iranians are far from being childish.
Unfortunately media&mollah& US brainwash doesn't help in promoting the real value of Iranian people.

Why is the morning call to prayer any more significant than the other 4 ?

Having lived in Tehran for several years, I never saw any Govt. employee (male or female) who dared to openly transgress the dress codes. I guess any who did rapidly ceased being Govt. employees. (Private sector different story).

Flying for them, a year now, and living in Tehran, I can assure you, that Iranians are very polite, helpful, and have a grate culture .
Not a muslim my self, I respect their religion, as well as their culture and habits that have to do with their religion.
Very safe Country to live, nothing to fear of.
Don't be confused by the media's negative propaganda.
I would'n be here and fly, if it was unsafe, even if they payed me millions.....

Does the ban apply to the Satan's drones?

Victor Inox 6th Jan 2013 17:36

Since they have hacked two of them
That, at least, is what they would like the world to believe.

Victor Inox 8th Jan 2013 10:29

It was shown on TV and acknoleged by the US, sorry but it is true.
Even the US pres asked the Iranians to return the Drones, google it
Your belief in the media etc. deserves great credit, Kijangnim. However, there is more to the international spy game than what you can Google.

Iranians have a great culture due to their rich history (not Islamic history) all the other "theological" BS that few are trying to implement to these people by force are only because it serves their purposes. Of course that goes for all Muslim Christians Jews Hindus Buddhist etc. The only difference is that the more fanatic, obsess you are about religion combined with illiteracy you can be manipulated easily and that is dangerous for the rest of the society. Strong bonds with religion does not let you think out of the box.
