Nothing mentioned yet about potential fifth-freedom 787 Athens-NY service. Looks like Al Baker wants to show off his shiny new 787s to the Germans and Swiss. :cool:

QATAR Airways Boeing 787 S13 Operations

As per latest schedule adjustment on 30NOV12, QATAR Airways unveils planned Boeing 787 operations for the first-half of Summer 2013 season, includes the following:

Boeing 787 to operate following routes on/after 31MAR13:
Doha – London Heathrow (Service begins from 13DEC12)
QR075 DOH0640 – 1200LHR 788 D
QR076 LHR1600 – 0045+1DOH 788 D
Doha – Zurich (Reservation for Boeing 787 service is now open)
QR061 DOH0105 – 0630ZRH 788 135
QR063 DOH0845 – 1410ZRH 788 x135
QR062 ZRH1130 – 1825DOH 788 135
QR064 ZRH1540 – 2240DOH 788 x135
Boeing 787 to enter service on following routes, however this has not been reflected in the GDS at time this post goes to press:
Doha – Frankfurt eff 31MAR13 2 Daily service
Doha – Munich eff 31MAR13 11 weekly service
Planned Boeing 787 service remains subject to change. There is a possibility that planned launch date may be moved forward.

in other news, the A330 will be taking over the India routes...

The big boy was talking about BHX recently. Anymore info from you guys in the know?

Hi Iver, do you know if Qatar is going interviewing DECs for the A330 in the near future.

They will always need DEC in all the fleets ... and pretty soon they will start DEC also on 78!

Interviews for DEC's on the 30th Jan received yesterday.

On their website,only ad is for B777DEC's.Any idea when ad expected for all fleet DEC's.I was told they are overwhelmed with the number of interviews which are still on hold...Thanks for info.Good luck to all

At the moment all the departments have their hands full and for the same old reasons ... booming expansion!
Patience and faith ... pilots are always needed around these dunes at least for the next 10 years!
