Emirates requirements for interview have changed
:) I was told today, to qualify for an interview with Emirates ,you now need 4000 hours total time with 2000 hours on commercial multi engine jet over 10 tons OR 2500 hours on any multi engine commercial jet over 30 tons .Good luck .:ok:

Hi!
Both of those requirements sound correct to me, via the KLAS job fair. EK said the requirements were lowered (again) on Wed 21 Apr 2010. It was 55 tonnes, then 20/25, and now 10. cliff KGRB PS-I re-activiated my EK application, as I have been having trouble finding a US-based job. Had my app in at EK for about 2 years, but did not know I never met the minimums, according to the guy at the KLAS job fair. The minimums posted on the website were incorrect, according to him. |
2500 TT ? That will open the floodgate for lots of girls and boys from the LOCO,S . No quick command with them either, sure we gonna see a lot of younsters the coming yeaars. Might be refreshing?:p

Next EK Job Fair
Please advise if anyone has a list of upcomming Pilot road shows with EK, and where they may be.

Hello all
Does anyone know if you can apply with less than the minimum hours required and subsequently go through the selection process with the intention of joining once meeting the requirements? I currently have 1500hrs A320 fleet. Kind Regards Roy |
Did even hear about other requirements. You can now apply although if you have one arm or one leg missing ( or both together provided they are not on the same side ) .
But there are also conditions to follow. An FO on AIB fleet must still have its right arm and a CPT or DEC its left one ( due to FBW – side stick position) . For 777 there are no objections so far. |
so I guess future loho loco defo's will complain having to nurse loho loco dec's around uncharted territory ....
Sorry, had to get rid of that one, on a more serious note now: I don't mind low hour future collegues, some very low hour locals do a great job, just as others should not come closer than a wingspan to an airliner. It all runs down to proper assessment and thereafter proper training and follow up on training. Unfortunately the drying up supply has made assessment a threat, as too many are allowed to slip through who shouldn't. Training has become better, the new team making a great effort, only tarnished by some instructor relicts who, for obvious reasons, can't be weeded out. Follow up on training and checking is generally good, again tarnished by the ones that regularly demonstrate an inadequate level, even fail checks, just to be reinstalled by a few phone calls from relatives .... |

Does anyone know if you can apply with less than the minimum hours required and subsequently go through the selection process (With the intention to join once meeting the updated requirements)? I currently have 1500hrs A320 fleet but would be interested in joining end of 2011 Kind Regards Roy |
Hello Roy.
My guess is, that the system may filter you out before you even become "visible" to a recruiter if you don't yet meet the minimums. But do try. If the database keeps your information, it may work in your favor to have applied now as it shows determination when you do get an interview after meeting the requirements. |

777 Routes
Hey does anyone have a list of the EK 777 routes. This information does not seem to be available.
X-LAX |
Hey Contacted,
Thats super info thanks for breaking it down between layovers and without. Much appreciated ! X-Lax :ok: |
Hi comrades,
Is it possible for a Bahraini with a JAA CPL+IR (Frozen ATPL) to apply at Emirates? Thank you all! |
Are all new hire F/O's only assigned the B777/330/340? What about the A-380?
Are they lateral moves? |
At the moment they are only taking F/Os from the A340 to the A380 as they want them to have 4 engine Airbus experience. It will be a long, long time before an F/O hired today gets anywhere near the A380.
|
Does anyone know if the current interview has changed much from a few years ago?. Are they still only hiring about 30% of those interviewed?....... Thanks.....(yes, I've looked at this thread and there really isn't anything of substance in the last year or two.)
|
They seem to be hiring F/O's. I did an online app 7 days ago and got a call to verify some of my information within 2 days.
