New hire pay at Emirates
I have been told by FOs at EK that new hires are now making 27,000 dhs a month. Can that be true? EK has now screwed its FOs yet again not only with the upgrade policy but now paying them less than new hires.
One FO told me the 27,000 dhs is more than 3,000 dhs a month difference! Emirates is a ****e company. If this is true it just confirms what everyone already knows about how the company operates. |
The information I have says that they pay new-hire FO's 22700 DHS/month. So don't get too upset. I'm still not sure it would be a good place to go if you already have a flying job.

This is a tried and tested practice, has been happening in EK Eng for a couple of years. Management response when complaints came in was " You were happy with your contract when you signed it!" Technically correct but still perverse!

It says US$5663 which works out to AED20,800. Is this out of date? How about captain salaries? |
Captains are paid in Gold Bars which are transported to their homes each day in silver armoured cars disguised as Audi A4`s. Aparently the bars contain a pungent soft brown centre which has been gradually increasing in size over the past few years. This however is only a problem should you actually scratch below the glowing golden surface.
Maybe i should sllep more after nightshift! |
And FO's only get the soft brown stuff without the golden trimmings......lol

Do the maths, guys.
Basic 22720 DHs (off the EK website) Flying pay, somewhere around 40Dhs/hour 90*40 = 3600 So, a new hire once on the line will make around 26320 based on 90 hours. I might be a little off on the flying pay rate, but I think that's about what it was when I left there a few years ago......:ok: |
