A330 Type Rating

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how much it costs to get a A330 type rating privately?
I have searched the net but no one publishes the costs.

Thank you in advance.

Thats because the price depends on who you are and who you know.

I have never seen prices published ever. Its a secret world which gives the training schools chance to change the figure whenever and for whoever they want.

Why not call them ? It seems an obvious place to start.

Do you mean just in the Uae or worldwide ?

As for EU, I got an offer a couple of days ago,
conversation from A320 to A330 theoretical part and sim 7900 Euro,
base training (at least 3 traffic pattern) 7500 Euro.

Good luck!:ok:

Sorry to be the barer of bad tidings my friend, but my advice would be to save your money!

Even with a Type rating, the airlines around this neck of the woods, would not consider you because of a type rating alone.......

Frankly the ratings are pretty worthless unless they are backed up with line experience and several hundred hours actually operating the thing ON LINE, especially as you do not even have an A320 rating!

Think about it.

I have different quotations for a self sponsor A330 CCQ,Trto in Europe and North America. It is just for the Type rating and not a job offer.
If you need more infos, send me a PM.

330 ccq

It also depends if is just for 1 crew .
I enquired a year ago here in Europe and they said the costs for the Base Flight training could be lower if more pilots are interessed.

Any infos in the Usa ?

Hi

I did my bus rating at US Airways. It was the best course i have ever done.
I have done 2 ratings at Alteon, and the US Airways course was heds and shoulders above, and about 1/2 the price.

It's all about the landings, price-wise.
The CCQ A320-330 can be done for 7000 EUR.
But only if you have someone doing zero flight training with you (that's four landings on the line with a TRI) you can get the license entry without doing landings. But hardly any operator will let you do that. Plus you'll have to bring solid jet experience to qualify for ZFTT.
In any other case you'll have to do the landings in a real plane, and that's going to be costly in an A330...
