IV. CONTRACTUAL & FINANCIAL
1. Contract

A. Validity: 10 years
B. Starting salary as “First Officer” is approximately US$ 2,600.00
2. Cost of training

Type rating: US$ 60,000.00 (estimated)

• For the purpose of the type rating the candidate is required to provide a personal
  guarantee from any sponsor acceptable to MEA.
• Type rating costs will be considered as debt to the student. It shall be waived
  when contract obligations are fully respected by the student. A legal bond shall be
  signed.

Not a bad start if you're starting from scratch with no airline or miniscule commerical time.......after 5 yrs of slumbing it then you can review your options and by then you would have made enough stick time and hopefully saved a bit to leg it for the proverbial greener pastures.....:ok:

Its just for lebanese nationals, does not apply to the expat world
