HAJJ Contractor - Licencia di Avion?

Heard about these guys looking for Boeing/Airbus guys. The poc (an Algerian living in NY) is forwarding my info to Walid Abuhijleh of Sunlight Aviation Service in Great Britain. I'm trying to find out if he's for real, as the poc called me today and told me they are leasing B744s and want to put me on it (have B767/742 time - no -400 time). Don't want to get burned; but, not wanting to miss out on a potential gig (found nothing on Jobs , or Walid, or Sunlight Aviation).

Thanks!

Hiya

First of all the only Sunlight Aviation that is listed in companies house has been dissolved and there is there is no sunlight aviation service unless his registered under a different company name and trading under another name.

Now Licencia is owned by a guy called Jeff or something like that diebert i believe his EX KLM, his a broker more than a contractor a broker who gets an aircraft before he got any money from a client and usually has ended up having his fingers burnt, not the most reliable on delivery I would ask both of them to show company info or further info on the contract before jumping ships.

Also if you had no -400 time are they going to pay for a bridging course as the 744 is not a 742 correct me someone if am wrong.

hope the above helps and good luck.

I also could be wrong But their are a lot of 400 guys about at the mo due cargoB/Virgin atlantic(no captains).

So. Are they asking for money?
Why not advertise?
Why give wrong info?

But in the end its up to you.

Good luck:suspect:

I definitely have reservations about this guy on the England side - Middle Eastern name and accent. Friend of mine living in England told me the phone numbers are from a residential area called Horley, NE of Gatwick - I'd already figured he was operating out of his house. Anyway, thanks for the info. I'm definitely looking at this from greater than arms length.

I think if your poc (an Algerian living in NY) is forwarding your info to Walid then he must be a good friend; I know Walid and he has wide experience having worked in in the industry for at least 30 years culminating in senior positions. He has JAR 66 A, B1, B2 & C AML License with JAR 66 ratings on a huge range of aircraft and has worked for a wide range of companies ranging from Kuwait Airlines, Virgin Atlantic to Airbus to name but a few. He knows many CEO's and owners personally and has a huge and far reaching network of contacts and friends in the industry.

Whilst he is UK educated, one would expect a Middle Eastern accent would be an asset when dealing with the Hajj. Walid has worked on and off for Askari Aeroparts Ltd based nearby in Horsham so it's no surprise to me he called from that area.

You were lucky to be given the opportunity of an introduction to Walid.
