Is maar moeilik if you do not have a sponsor. Try book through a hotel directly and stay for one night. If your reason for visting Abu Dhabi is seeking job, try to get your future employer to sponsor you

Hi, I am from South Africa. Fiance is working for Etihad and I really don't need to stay in a hotel for 3 nights.

Your Fiance can apply for a visit visa for you at imagration in Abu Dhabi, they will need 2 photo's and a copy of your passport.

They will a company letter, passport copy, visa copy, and about 500.00 dhs plus medical insurance.

The process will take about 3 hours good luck.:bored:

Abu Dhabi

I just went to Abu Dhabi on the 20th of April, NZ passport, stamped my passport, said see you later, no head aches, no fuss. Left with a US passport, again how was your stay, see you later. I am not sure about the South African but I will check ,have a mate who is working there and he is also from SA

Aren't South Africans exempt from visitors visas?

South Africans need a visa for just about everywhere including the UAE. Your best bet is to get your fiance to apply in the Uae on your behalf. Otherwise get her to send you a letter addressed to the UAE consulate in SA inviting you for a visit. Either way it involves a bit of leg and paperwork.
You need to be aware that there might be issues with you (male) visiting her (female) and not being related or married. No quick fixes...

How do you enter with one passport and leave on another in this country?

Yes I checked and South Africans need a visa, sorry. As to two passports in on one out on the same, next time in on a different one, out on it also, so not really in on one out on another, two different visits.

People do it every day. If you are from one of the 30 plus countries that can come and go at will.

'33 Privileged Countries' According to AME Info

There are 33 countries that are given the same on arrival free UAE visa on arrival similar to UK citizens.

These countries include citizens of France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Cyprus, Finland, Malta, Spain, Monaco, Vatican City, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, United States (US), Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

A new law was passed on March 31st 2003, where the citizens of these 33 countries can only obtain a one-month non-renewable visit visa on arrival, which costs Dhs. 100 (US$ 28). Though the government officially passed this law, it does not seem to be always implemented.
Haven't heard of anybody paying for it lately.
