I guess RH wasn't happy with just himself and his son on the payroll, they had to 'create' a job for his wife. It seems we can't find enough over priced schools on our own we need to pay someone to do it for us. And she can't just do it here, she needs to go to China for some investigative work.
I guess Etihad has lots of extra money to throw around.

And then there is the Melbourne launch, we already go to 2 different Oz destinations, but we need to have the most expensive launch of any Etihad destination EVER in Melbourne.

And there's more: Code share with QF!! He's preparing his home return, because he will no longer be that traitor, as QF now can participate in emptying the Nayans pockets, as they constantly have to stuff EY ... :D

This thread is an old, tired repeat of a thread. The last one died for lack of intelligent input, and I hope that this one will do so, too.

Ole Dickie is lining his bank account before he gets the boot when Hoogie is thrown out. When all those bozos are gone, EY will have no problem breaking even !:)

Because I am too tired to care enough to form an intelligent response may I suggest getting a life rather than speculation around your ideas of nepotism. Tired thread and a boring one to.

Any (bad ?) news from the pilot roadshow today ? :hmm:

I can try to report fact and figures (randomly) I heard yesterday and you discriminate what's good or bad ;) :

- 2009, challenging year in terms of revenue
- only 73 (co)pilots hired this year (+26 cadets joining the fleet in 09)
- recruitment to re-open this late summer (recruitment dept. overwhelmed by CVs...)
- no increase in schooling allowance planned
- consolidation and stability in many operations fields (rostering,...)
- 10 (or 11?) new a/c
- introduction of airport SBY for flight crew (still on planning stage) associated to backup a/c A320, 330.
- cockpit crew facilities to improve at EY Training Academy
- new 777 sim to operate in June/July
- 40 upgrades this year
- IST, LCA, ATH to open in june, ORD in september
- Only one layover on 320, MSQ, for summer season
- A320/B777: overnight flights to be paired on set patterns (with day flights, OFF and SBY)
- we are around 7000 employees, number to triple during the next 6 years.

Talking about money, I could not figure out how much money EY was eventually losing with its current fuel hedging plan...no figures presented.
All we know is that "we are doing good with our fuel hedging plan"...good? compared to what,who?...

You need an expert to show you around schools which Pilots cannot afford.!!!!!

If your single this can be a great place to make some money, but if married with kids...look out!!!! This place will empty your pockets fast. Schooling is a nightmare, and housing is not far behind. Medical, and dental coverage is far from good...sorry, far from fair!!! I need a drink! EY...start looking after our family's please!

Hogie has 18months left before the end of his contract and the mega bonaza payout he expects to receive, so watch out every penny will now be checked, double checked and checked again. He needs to balance the books (with expert assistance from his EVP finance) so don't be surprised to hear all sorts over the months - we had the same thing at GF towards the end of his tenure.
