New operator with HQ in the Dubai Airport Free Zone. Just received their AOC. Fleet of 2 ex United Airlines B737-300. Extremely low salaries, and low cost in general. Mostly Iraqis in management. Probably not your first choice operator.

The hiring wheels turn very slowly, because he needs approvals from higher up.

What type of work does this airline do?

ShinjukuHustler 23rd Dec 2010 09:42

Just another low quality DXB charter outfit operating in the grey margins...think Aerovista, Dolphin Air, AVECom and all those other haf baked poorly run outfits operating on a shwarma shop budget...

Not a place for professionals...

Hustle On :ok:

Global Jet Airlines

Global Jet in Dubai is actually a good airline. We delivered their aircraft to them (maintenance and delivery). They have 1 ex-United 737-322 (398UA), 1 ex-KLM 737-400 and are putting into service an ex-KLM -300. They are also looking at adding several more aircraft to their PAX fleet in the next 6 months. They are a low cost airline and operate into markets which the larger airlines are now getting into (DXB-BGW; DXB-KDN, etc.). Pretty much everyone of their flights is full and alot of the passengers I have seen board are ex-pats (I am maintenance provider from US providing them support and consulting). The CEO is Captain Mouayad Al Hassan and I have been dealing with him for the last 4 years and it has been nothing but a pleasant experience. He is a great person and makes the dealings with the airline all the better. All of the employees of the airlines (crew down to office staff) are great people and enjoy working for the airline which makes it a better place to be. I am sure that they arent paying their flight crew as much as AA or BA, but the relaxed comfortable setting to work in could be worth a little bit of a trade off. I dont see them going out of business anytime soon, only getting bigger.

Is that the best person to contact or is there an office email add or HR contact info you can provide.

Aviator - If you are reading this, may be you can also reply.

any e-mail where to apply??

galbert737 12th Jan 2011 18:52

I am not an employee of theirs. We are an FAA 145 who supports their operation with aircraft and support. You can contact them at that number. I dont know what positions the airline is actually hiring for, but it can never hurt to try. I know they are adding aircraft at an increasing rate due to the huge demand in the region

Yes, they have been operating now with an A6 AOC for about 2 years. The company is adding 2(ea) A300 B4 freighters to the fleet, the first finished with conversion and just went into paint, and the second about a month behind. We are also in negotiations to add a 767-200ER (ex-QANTAS) into the fleet hopefully by the summer. The original plan of adding 1(ea) 737-400 each quarter seems to be working out to more like 1(ea) every other quarter. The demand for passenger and freight carrier loads in the UAE and region is exploding and all of the flights are operating above 85% capacity. They are actively hiring captains and F/O's. The contact for email is [email protected]. We are also in the process of obtaining some other ratings to further the airlines potential which will be announced as they are achieved.

They are A300-600s not B4s. They are looking for A300-600 crews, first plane due to arrive in 10 days.

galbert737 28th Jun 2011 20:53

my apologies.....ever have one of those days or lifes??/ Yes correct, they are A300-600's. Actually 605's if Im not mistaken. The first one will be a little bit late for some last minute stuff. it is back in Dressden after paint and has some last minute details to get worked out on some stuff and then it will be ferried down and then put into service. it is a good looking aircraft.
