Saudia orders Hawker 400XP
Hawker Beechcraft inked a deal with Saudi Arabia Airlines for six Hawker 400XP twinjets worth a combined total of about $50 million. Scheduled for delivery next year, the airplanes will join the carrier’s Saudia Private Aviation fleet.
First one due in about 5 months. Mutt |
Mutt , do you know if Saudia will be starting a new businnes line or will they be for training?
|
They will go on their 135 certificate with the Falcon 7X.

Thus, a new biz aviation competitor in the area . Tks.

...and have a couple of "H"s in front of your name ;)

Saudia Special Flight
they are selling the G 2 & 3's.
Keeping 6 GIV's the Hawkers and 5 x 7X's start 2009 It will be a charter company but run by the same set up and as all government institutions are, dont expect service to be at the front of the list. SSFS have been a great privately managed company for over 20 years....... chasing charter clients or making incme is not on the program....... But interesting they went for Dassualt and not G 550's. I got this from a GIV driver a month ago |

i love the Hawker. nice comfortable bizjet!

400XP's
I hope the new aircraft have APU's, if not, they were a waste of money in Saudi starting about April through October.
|
No APU
Glass Cockpit yes! APU. Not ordered. too bad. As usual, nobody putting the orders together asked the pilot types for a feedback. At least the airline knows the planes are coming. When the first G-2's arrived in l976, nobody knew it. They were just delivered to JED by factory pilots, who had to fly them until Saudia pilots were trained. But times have changed.
|
Off the subject, but...are both the Falcon 900's still flying? Sam
|
Hey Sam, I believe that they are still flying and will be joined by 4 Falcon 7X aircraft starting next year.
