Gulf Air Application Help

Has anyone recently filled out the online application on the Gulf Air website. If so, how did you manage to scan and attach a copy of your logbook. I have tried everything I know how, but it keeps rejecting the attachment due to size; it has to be under 300kb. I am yet to get it below 700. Will they accept an excel spreadsheet flight time matrix for the purpose of screening applicants, or do they need an actual scanned copy? Thanks in advance for your help.

There are a couple ways to get the size of the file down:

- change the file-type on the scanning software to JPEG or some other small file type. Avoid .BMP and other large file types

- a longer route is to take a screenshot of the already scanned large file (on my laptop the command is 'function'+'Alt'+'PrintScreen') simultaneously- copy to Paint or other image editing software- manipulate (i.e. resize, crop, rotate, etc.) as needed and save the file as a JPEG

It may not be necessary to change the resolution or color to black & white.

Thank you both for the suggestions.

Hi dude
Just reopen the scanned images with MS Office pictures manager and choose "edit pictures" from the top menu.
At the bottom right side u'll find a compress picture menu were u can choose from some compression methods.
