QR DEC A320 Capts Hirings....

MASSALLAMA....
Hi there...just wanted to ask our desi boys playing in the big sandpit .... when is the next hiring starting for the A320 DEC Capts.?

The QR website doesnt have a listing for that post, only FOs on all aircraft and 777 rated P1s have been advertised ...

but a little birdy told me that as the 320 boys are up for Wide Body Upgrades, and QR would be need someone to fill their seats.

Can anyone tell me when exactly are they opening the flood gates there? Because India is going bust.... same crappy scheds, and the oil its getting crazy by the day!! :ugh:

Also whats the TT and PIC time req. for the DEC 320 capt. inductions with 737NG P1 ratings????

"SHUKRAN" :ok:

PIC

DEC total 6000 h and 2000 PIC out of wich 1000h EFIS .

Why would you jojn QR when you read PPRUNE ?

alpha474 27th Jul 2008 16:05

buddy, cuz its not lookin good in India...

thanx for the response about the TT requirements...
well the only way i can describe the job situation is ...

LAND AT NEAREST SUITABLE JOB ......

And as in the aviation industry, there are many parameters of SUITABLE!!
1) job security, okay if you ruffle the arabs, then you're done, otherwise the oil story is not gonna go sour in the middle east that soon.
2) Indian inflation is rising much faster than how the pilot salaries are...
3) Stupid Flying School owners hyped the situation so much that there is gonna be a glut of poor cpl holders pretty soon...
4) the way and reasons for which airlines like MDLR and KF (to some extent) were started were so flimsy:= that i guess there is gonna be a big bust in india in the forseeable future. QR doesnt have that fickle minded people, atleast if they are fickle...they're RICH FICKLE!! :O
5) if i am on an NG and wanna switch to a A320... might as well get payed 13.8K TAX FREE for it!!

i know QR has some issues, but well which airline doesnt nowadays?!!!
if someone still has any intel on when they're recruiting 320 P1s...pls fill us all in .....

QR

Lol lol job security in QR ??? are you joking ? Do you know number of terminated pilots and crew per year ??

Listen to CEO, there are other options here. eg EK, EY and soon to start FlyDubai. Oman Air is up and coming, Arabia and Gulf Air also. I would stay far from QR.

OA

Oman Air is good option !!!!!!

NG_Kaptain 29th Jul 2008 14:34

Well maybe not.

Why not wait awhile and then get hired by FlyDubai which also flies 737NG aircraft? Not sure when they start interviews. Airbus is great but Dubai job flying the same aircraft you fly wouldn't be too bad. Patience needed in your case. I hear QR is a nasty place to be as well. Dubai is where the fun (if you can afford it) is...

..Generally speaking Dubai is where LIVE is...and definitely not more expensive than Doha!

Just a piece of advice,

Some people come to the gulf and they like it (weird individuals), so if you happen to come here and don't like it (I would say 70%),
don't get bonded, you already have a good profitable type rating, so why spoil your freedom just to fly same category of aircraft, but with less performance by the way (please do not turn this thread into a A vs B bull....)
So you come to the sandpit or sadpit as we are starting to call it and don't like it feel free to move around, NG type..... japan korea africa etc..... But if you are bonded is like being in jail....... in particular Doha with only men around you.
