NAS 190's

They flying yet??

international hog driver 17th Jul 2008 18:42

The word on the street is that NAS have lived up to reputation and shagged this camel as well.

As told to us, NAS did a deal with Egypt Air to train the NAS crews. True to form NAS apparently made some offers to the Egyptian pilots and trainers to jumpship and come the RUH.

When Egypt Air management got wind of this they promptly cancelled the training…….

Totally plausible if you ask me and goes a long way to explaining why the 190 is gathering dust in RUH.

Read into this what you will, as I said it word on the street.

They should have enough qualified crews from SVA to enable them to operate some flights.... Word on our street is that they have paperwork problems with GACA.

Noticed that they have a new guy in charge of training...... what happened to the last 2?

Is it true that they are willing to pay Jetblue pilots US$25k per month for 6 months? Either way dont expect to see these aircraft in the air before end of August......

I spoke to a Captain from NAS AIR recently and he told me that the going rate for a PIC is 16,000USD + Expenses.

Saudi F/O

I heard some F/O are willing to leave Saudi for NAS if they are willing to pay them a better salary.:ouch:

mutt 29th Jul 2008 17:53

Yep they are, however, it appears that the desire to live in their home cities of Riyadh / Dhahran is a major driving factor. Salary for FO will raise from SAR16,000pm to SAR28,000pm if they move.
