Whats the story at GF at the moment...any chance for a Dash8 F/O with an ATPL to get an interview at GF...(and a job of course)...

Have you looked at their requirements? These are for A320 First Officer:

Our Ideal Applicant Profile:
To be considered for this role you must posses:

• A ICAO ATPL or a JAA Frozen ATPL
• Has a current medical.
• Has a total of 1500 hours of which 500 must be multi crew, heavy turbo prop. Minimum weight of 12,500kgs.
• Jet experience and Glass cockpit would be preferred

I would say apply if you meet these minimums. I am thinking about it at sometime in the future also.

I started with GF 2 years ago and was previuosly a Dash 8 F/O. If you meet the hours requirement keep applying and you should get the call.

what call, I have been waiting on Gulf Air for 8 months now, no call at all.
I have no idea when they are goin to start hiring again

Ive no idea when they will hire either, most of the new starts seem to be cadets/second officers etc. But they are advertising, and they need guys, so something has got to happen soon, but this is Gulf air, hang on in there...
