Oman Air New Livery and Airline LOGO
Oman Air has lounged thier New Livery and LOGO which looks very nice reflecting Omani culture and traditions, all the best for Oman Air
see below link: http://arunrajagopal.com/2008/02/24/...wings-of-oman/ |
They all love gold... don't they? The turqouise blue is really a surprise...
|
reflecting Omani culture and traditions, |
yes the Logo is from the Omani culture if you know the omani culture.
|
A lot different to their current colours, really nice though. :ok:
BP |
Thats right BP...it really is quite different..but I think I like it!:ok:
It will be nice to see that Logo in Manilla, KL, Bangkok etc..etc I wish them a Big, Big Big future:D By the way...I miss Muscat alot:( |
Sorry to rain on your parade, guys, but I think the new livery is awful! It does not in any way reflect clearly, at least in the eyes of a world that may not know the subtleties of Omani culture, the Oman that I have come to love and appreciate. The old livery was easily distinguishable from most of the carriers here and had the magic khanjar. And why couldn't they retain the colours of Oman ie green, red and white? I hope there is a lot of soul searching by those who came up with it. It must have cost a pretty penny to put it together!!
On the design side, it looks fine; very pretty, in fact. But I would say that it doesn't look like what the Omani national carrier should look like. |
Oman Air New Logo
Hi there,
Oman Airs New Logo is beautiful, however i'll miss the Omani KHANJAR flying along on the Blended Winglets. All the best as the Airline Rebrands. Skygod |
when first i saw the logo.. i though it was an Olympics sign (the torch) or something like that.. i think they should have kept the red, white and green.. also the KHANJAR as that where u can find anywhere in Oman..

U can c the 1st 737-800 (A4O-BA) with the new livery:ok: I think it looks nice..:D I think they had eough of the red & the green.. |
I like it! :ok:
For those critics who don't think the new livery has anything to do with Oman, quite on the contrary. The sea has played a crucial part in Omani history. From conquering forreign lands to the sea trade, the whole country was and is centered around it. The khanjar was nice, but it's 90° angle doesn't blend well with the modern airline liveries that accentuate smooth curves and speed. |
New Scheme
SAW IT YESTERDAY ON THE RAMP.............thought it was Boeings new B738 scheme, same tint.
What are the new cabin crew uniforms going to look like? |
|
I like the new livery, although the Khanjar was unique and nice, it never did blend well, IMHO, with the red and green color-scheme. Even though I knew it was Oman Air, my primacy reaction always was "Coast Guard."
But maybe someone can explain to me what the flame-like swirl signifies. |
OK, disregard. I guess we can refer to Oman Air as "the big smoke," "smokie", "smelly" or unless you like frankincense, "stinky"? I am sure that some will misspell it as "smoke of Frankenstein?"
|
I like it .. its modern, contemporary and pleasing to the eye (not so harsh to look at like the old logo) and gives the right impression of a young ambitious airline.
|
HI Panama,
According to the PR machine, the swirly thing is supposed to be a stylised version of smoke coming from an incense burner. I still don't like it. |
What's with the smoke ? I really can't imagine to see them in this 'disgusting' new livery... Stupid colours! :ugh:
|
IT IS THE BEST LIVERY & LOGO :ok:
|
Guys Oman airline is coming to the world with the new look, i wish them all the best:D, and let us love Oman.
