From Gulfa air to Eithad
Hi :)
To all the guys left us hope you are doning well in AbuDabi. Hope all of you are happy. Let us know that you are doing well . |
"And ..Why is that" :suspect:
|
Dear FADAC,
Are you doing these childish spelling and structural mistakes in all of your posts intentionally to tell everyone something very deep? I hope so because if you are a pilot I am worried to be a passenger in an airplane under your command. (E.g. was it supposed to be FADEC?) |
FADAC not a pilot just a guy with a very vivid imagination. Ignore or just laugh it off.
|
Dear spanktheyank just to let you know that fadec was already taken and fadac is really nasty
|
Word from across the waters in AUH is all is well.
Those who moved across are having fun and not having to deal with the Inshallah mentality of the pink palace. Some people not up to scratch and are only there on a "who knows someone" basis but life continues and the pay is good - although housing is very expensive. EY is still a toddler so expect a few tantrums, falls, etc etc. Perhaps the mother (GF) having cut the apron strings can begin a new life as an empty nester ? |
So you chose FADAC (and all capitals at that) just because fadec is already taken... ???
Hmmm....not so vivid imagination after all... :bored: |
Word is good from the guys at EY. Pilots ie..I hear a lot of cabin crew don't like it. For them its different though. Its not exactly a career. They're not thinking long term. For the girls bah was cheap and easy to move around. For pilots I think if the money is good and the career in the long term looks bright, they'll work almost anywhere. Most guys r enjoying AUH though. They say housing is a prob but being worked on. GF the answer was we have nothing implying we will never have anything so don't bother. The pilots are happy, teething probs but help is always available.
|
Actually the girls find AUH cheaper fo moving around shopping etc...ec many of them here were relegated to using "secret taxi's" for their shopping...3 times more than a taxi there...think some silly "categorizing" (name calling) and other activities from "Original" EY crews is contributing to the unhappiness of a small minority of those who left GF to EY..

All is well here in AUH. You will see the usual hickups you would expect from a fairly new company but they do try to follow up and take care of problems. Housing still seems to be an issue. There's a shortage of company provided apartments in the city. Renting on your own is unthinkable because the rates have increased more than 100% from what they were in the GT days (and still going up). If you don't mind being isolated a little further out, you can get a brand new spacious villa (FO's included). Different story for the girls. They say they're mistreated by the rest of the cabin crew so they don't advertise where they're from. I think it has more to do with missing their friends and comfort zone in BAH. So far two GF 767 guys (one CP one FO) have finished their sim phase (A330) and will start line training soon. Rest of us will follow shortly.
I made a solid career move by going to AUH, but man I did not know I would miss my Island-with-no-beaches, this much. Bahrain rocks. I'm sure GF will pull itself up and claim it's place in the region soon. Good luck to all you all. |
nice post man. right attitude. hope all goes well with everyone who decides to go or stay.
