Emirates - baggage fiasco

have been told that Emirates baggage system in Dubai is in chaos and Perth, Australia alone has more than 500 bags missing. Whats going on Emirates? Twelve pax on one PER flight the other night...no bags!

Have also been told they have a hectare of black bags in Dubai that will never get to the destination.

Not setting a good standard!

this has the square root of @#$% - all to do with pilots.

what's your point? :bored:

FYI, my friend just came from the pilot selection process in Dubai & came back to Bahrain recently.

He & 10% of the pax from DXB-BAH didn't see their baggage upon reaching Bahrain...until the next flight came from Dubai, which fortunately came after 12 hours.

Unfortunately, he was told he's not entitled to any compensation because he resides in Bahrain. I think one's entitled to $200 for an inconvenience like this...but I guess that only applies if you don't reside in that place...

One might expect that a trip to the local bazaar might find the missing luggage, sans contents, of course.
Don't laugh, has happened before...many times.

Wonder what the price is these days for a fancy pair of knickers....?
