Can you help me

What is Talent pool ? My Qatar airways application changed to this.

incspeed 9th Apr 2020 19:20

It is something like a standby list. You need to wait for a date of joining. It could take 3 months or 3 years. Nobody knows.

Does anyone received any contact from HR department in the last days regarding DOJ or screening dates ?

mmorel 10th Apr 2020 11:45

guys it will take at least three years to call anyone for hiring ,
they have lots of pilot returning from Air italy to Qatar airways and they are already overstaffed.

I wouldn't be holding out for the ME either. The ME3 were feeling their over capacity well befor covid 19. Until restrictions are lifted and some solid data is analyzed it's going to be painfully slow . Growth? Not likely, but that is only a guess at this point .

Either you are a troll or you are just really really dumb. The world has shutdown and you are arguing that Emirates is hiring thousands of people right now on their thread.

777 give the poor mug a break...the meds made him do it.

You don’t need to look for a job here for a very long time buddy.

Maddogrider 26th Apr 2020 12:07

It was pretty obvious something like this would come out sooner or later; I just received an Email from QR, had applied for F.O. position in mid January:

Dear Candidate,

We write to inform you that, as with many corporates, our Company’s operations are being increasingly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. These are exceptional circumstances which were unpredictable and unforeseen and, as a result, it is with regret that we must inform you that, currently, we are unable to proceed further with your selection process, at this time.

The situation is evolving and we will resume the recruitment process at a future point, however this cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, we would encourage you to re-apply when future vacancies become available on the Qatar Airways careers website.

As mentioned, we very much regret this unavoidable development and hope you will understand the unique difficulties posed by the developing pandemic.

Thank you for your interest in joining Qatar Airways.

Best Regards,

Talent Acquisition Team, Qatar Airways Group

Which fleet are you from ?

Does anyone who was in the swimming pool got this email ?

Maddogrider 27th Apr 2020 05:18

I had applied for NTR Boeing F.O. position in January and before this email, had not recieved anything except for that automated message they send right after submitting the application.

Al Baker put out letters to the QR employees confirming the obvious yesterday. :(

The Stress levels have gone up among the Cabin Crew" Substantial Reduction in coming weeks.
Not surprising at all, when almost 800 were laid off from Technical Department.
"**** Fest" have started.
Best of luck,...

dreamsdocometrue 5th May 2020 21:33

Pilots affected too? It seemed to be targeting mainly the cabin crew headcount

FlyingAce77 5th May 2020 21:50

The Memo States “The truth is, we simply cannot sustain the current staff numbers and will need to make a substantial number of jobs redundant - inclusive of Cabin Crew” makes me think it’s going to come knocking at our door step soon.
I have heard 30% reduction - Not so Crikey to say the least.

FlyingAce77 6th May 2020 09:31

I doubt the World Cup will happen on time, It is going to be a Wild Wild Circus outside Tower 3 - Again if Borders don’t open by let’s say by June, it’s going to get worse.. As much as I’m optimistic but Reality is 180 degree opp- unless Miracle Vaccine comes out”

Count von Altibar 6th May 2020 11:37

So new news for the pilots as yet? I must say QR seemed to be the most airborne airline anytime I've looked at flightradar24 in recent weeks, they seemed to be coping better than others at drumming up continued business.

Banana Joe 6th May 2020 13:08

Concerning the 777, are there dedicated pilots for the freight flights or is it mixed flying for all the crews?
