ME Airline Pilot Training

I am interested to find out which training schools/colleges carry out ab initio pilot training to CPL/ATPL level for Saudia, Emirates, Gulf Air, Qatar, Kuwait and Etihad. What are the future training requirements for these airlines? Are there plans for a new Gulf training college by any of the airlines or by a Gulf state? Anyone having some or all of the answers please let me know. Thanks.

Well the thing is that if you are a national of any of the countries that these airlines are from you should try to contact them and see what type of ab-intio program they have, maybe u can join that. If not then all these airlines you talk about require alot of time and you wont be able to join them with just a cpl or atpl if you do not have any previous flight experience mainly with other airlines. Hope this helps.

How is the general aviation in UAE? And in which other countries is the UAE license readily acceptable?

Also, I heard someone say Fujairah flight school is offering JAA ATPL, is it possible to do that right after UAE GCAA CPL/IR/ME or will it require conversion to JAA CPL first?

Can u please post link to Qatar Aviation School, I can't find it's website.

Can u also please tell in what ways is going to Qatar the best option in ME, since, like many wannabes, want to ultimately fly for a scheduled carrier. Thanx.

Hi guys
the aviation school in qatar is called Qatar Aeronautical college.
Its website address is http://www.qac.edu.qa/
when you click on pilot training and then on overview, scroll down to the flying licences it is mentioned that they do not undertake teaching for CPL.
dont know how far it is true.Better to call them up and confirm.
Good luck

Qatar Aeronautical College

Hii.,,,Im a student at QAC and im doing my ATPL course sponsored by Gulf Air. They only do full ATPL courses and the cost of the full course is around 100000US$.
Once ur done from here u do have a very good chance to get into GF or QR...thats what i heard.

Hope that helps

A 100K USD for ATPL only???? Or is it from PPL upto ATPL?

On the website it's written 'Arabic students'. I'm from Pakistan, do I have a chance to find employment in Qatar?

Also in what regions will the license from Qatar be acceptable without conversion, if I don't find employment in Qatar, since I'm so confused about which license is accepted where.

I have no flying experience, and I plan to start in the near future, but don't know from where.

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Since ur not from the Gulf...I dnt think there would be a way to get into one of the airlines down here. I think it would be better if u would check it out urself by getting in touch with the college.
U get a PPl CPL n then an ATPL for 100kUS$

Should I or Shouldn't I?

Ok can anyone give me a final opinion if I should go to UAE for CPL/IR/ME - a simple yes or no, with a one-line reason. Thank you.

doing your flight training in the middle east is way too expensive. You'd be better off doing it in the US. Or if you want to spend all that money anyway, you might aswell do it in the UK.

Getting CPL/IR/ME/ATP from USA and then converting to JAA... would that be cheaper?
