to all ex mas in middle east:
the new mou have been signed on 9/9/2005 and the validity is from 1/9/2004 till 31/8/2007.
the main is 25% rise on basic and 60& on productivity backdated to 1/9/2004,however one need to be in service till 9/9/05 to enjoy the backdated payment as per letter from hr.
nothing this sort is written on the mou document.after months of nego with hr,i still got the same answer from gmhr last week of the non-payment.
i have been in the company till 31/5/2005,basicly i am due of 9 months backpay.
i believe many of us who have left mas are in the same situation.consulted a good lawyer and according to the lawyer,we stand a very good chance of the backpay if we bring it up to industrial court.
the documents needed for the lawyer is that
1) letter of employment
2) previous mou doc ( all the way till 1980s if possible)
3) current mou doc
3) resignation letter
4) clearence letter from company
5) tax clearence ( to indicate last day of employment)
6) initial fees of rm2000.00
the lawyers fees is only rm 2000.00 initially and if we win then 20% of all winning.(could be nego down,i am trying for 10%).
at the moment atleast 6 of us are planing to go ahead.
while we are at it,we could also request the lawyer to preview the cadet pilot bond and the conversion bond as well.
as per my calculation,i am due min of rm 35,000 before tax on backpay+prod.
