Emirates F/O hours entry requirement?
 

Does anyone know if the current 4000 hours total entry requirement is going to be revised downwards anytime soon?

It used to be 2500 hrs total a few years back, but then got raised allegedly because they needed high hour F/Os who could be upgraded quickly! (What I heard anyway!)

I would expect it to change, as we are definitely not getting enough good F/O's. However what do I know.... I also reckon the next thing they will do, late next year is offer F/O's direct onto the 380 as a incentive to join.

now you really are asking for rumours.
Well I have this mate that is a VP and his mate the SVP says that a cleaner told him................
One thing that ALWAYS happens in the airline, plebs like us will never know any facts until after the fact :ok:

Pay increase? Absolutely! It is almost certain that those who haven't been naughty in the past year will receive................... (drum roll) a wopping 3% increase this April. But then again, that may just be another rumor:E

Hello Guys.
Reading all these posts you would think that Emirates is runinig short on pilots. However I find hard to understand. I first applied in March 01, when I had the mins for that time that they changed , and had to wait until August 04. I have 8000tt. 4800turbine.5000pic. 3000jet. 1500turboprop.
EMB 145 Type, and still can not get a call. Care to comment??.

Well you've waited this long.... you should wait a little longer and apply for a slot as DEC on the A380.

Why start at the bottom???
