What determines a proper job? And what makes you think these guys think your actual job is a proper job?

Just curious.

how you are valued by the company
how your salary is
how you can have a life outside the job

EK 1 and 3 are not given by EK
number 2 is definitiv not enough for what you give up joining EK

If you are leaving the likes of BA, Jet2, Easy in the UK , the overwhelming majority of boys there would think you are absolutely crazy for moving to ek…and that was before the emirates pandemic handling - upsets people here but an unfortunate truth that ek despite the shiny ads and football shirts is not the career it once was .

Sure. Just to remind you - thread’s about application process to Emirates, not „list all reasons why joining Emirates is not a good idea”. We’ve had enough.

Just to remind you, this is the Middle East forum and this thread relates specifically to ek and therefore those who actually work in the airline are clearly justified in their input - not just wannabes who have yet to meet required assessment criteria or have yet been found suitable for a position.

if you have had enough already , you won’t last 2 minutes in emirates

The topic is Emirates Application.

The first message of the person who opened the thread is about the Emirates Pilot Selection process.

Anyone who wants to share their positive or negative experiences with Emirates can do so by opening a separate thread. The title could also be "Pros and Cons of working for Emirates."

It is wrong to take his/her anger out on this title because the company did not recall his/her.

Forum members would like to see posts about the Emirates selection process in this thread, not gossip about company management or other issues.

In other words... "I couldnt believe as a white dude i was applying for the same job as a bunch of darkies."

apply - it’s ok for me
But I can tell you 50% of the people who terribly wish to be part of it will change their nick names and start complaining about EK
By the 5 years mark 75% what to leave. At that time you make a deceision to leave with empty hands or stay, finding out that is was not worth and has done more damage to your career than it was gainfully. But go for it.

if you are so convinced that you will make it and fit, why do you need to get info about at all.
In made without all the positiv Infos, and found out is was the easiest assessment I have ever done. If you want to read about what to expect, accept also that their won’t be only positiv and glory to read about.

again just for you.
dubai is the most respectfully international place. Locals are the most welcoming and invitive people on earth. EK makes you the most valued employee at all times. You will fly a international network with an excellent roaster bidding system where your bid will be respected maximizing your life work balance to be able to enjoy all the benefits of living in Dubai and being a world traveler.

good luck with your application and enjoy the stay in Dubai

why do you think they hire new guys rather than getting everyone back they had already. Most redundant didn’t get a massage since 1,5 years, even they want to come back.

Being an creator of such a post shows 2 things

First you don’t want to hear the truth - makes you a perfect match as you dig your head in the sand over the negative. This is what’s happening in all over Dubai.
Secondly, no you don’t know better than all the guys who have been their.

So EK selection process is on of the easiest in the industry as they are desperate.

Its 4 stages
phsycho - standard aptitude test
personal Interview
sim
group Games
medical

arriving their you will have to do an ELP and GCAA air law test

Thats it
from their your joining is 4 to 8 month away

that’s it

Ok, with all that said by the parties, could we return to the exchange of hints?

Has anyone done the online interview in Jan?
Any feedback?

Tks

Have a look where all these people are coming from - posts from 2019 asking about starting Ryanair cadet self funded type rating schemes.

I did. It is based on Hirevue platform, you will get the link. 3 questions, 10 sec to prepare and then 1m30 answer for each. Takes 5 min. Questions were easy like what makes you the candidate for emirates, what are your hobbies.
I can’t figure out what is it they pursue with this thing. Check out YouTube there are a lot of videos about Hirevue.

I had teams in December with HR rep and technical. So it seems there are two options.

Sorry, I meant feedback of the Online Interview on MsTeams.

I took the Hirevue back in November, and I got an Email after that to take the Saville and Abstract reasoning test.
After this an email to pick dates for the online interview on Teams. It was in Mid Jan, almost 2 months after the Hirevue.
