The main need now is for Airbus rated guys since Qatar Airways reached an agreement with Airbus on the A350 issue and the 30+ airframes grounded will be back in the air (plus another 19 to be delivered) over the next months, so they have an immediate need for Airbus rated pilots.
Boeing guys will have to wait a bit until they sort out all the manpower requirements for the next fiscal year (which starts on April)

I applied in January and got the invitation for the online test within 5 days and the invitation for the assessment in Doha a week after completing the online test. 2,5 weeks from application to invitation to Doha.

Good evening everyone. I had a good look at most of the thread in order not to ask anything that hasn’t been answered already, although there’s some discrepancies in which I believe is probably due to their current outlook and that they happen to be fairly random with the way they do things.
So, in regards to application timelines, a lot of people said they received the email for the online tests within five days, mine has been over two weeks and the status on the candidate page says “completed”. Someone suggested to apply again, as if the application was reviewed and forgotten. Is that the case when the status reads that? Anyone waited longer? Mine meets all the requirements, plus experience in reputable airlines, currently flying etc. would have at least expected an invitation to tests albeit I’m very aware they owe me nothing.
In regards to everything else, I hear you. I have friends there and they like it, they do say is not perfect though. But the premise here is that those who are truly happy are not banging about it online. What’s good for them might not be good for you and we have to respect that. So I’d say that it’s okay to warn people over certain things, but insult them for making a conscious decision in going for it isn’t fair when you did it too in the past. You tried, great, you have no right to deny the experiences for others. Would be nice to keep it friendly and civil.
I’m Boeing rated FO, not in a rush but considering how bad things are looking in the U.K. and the financials of my airline, I was looking for contingencies and the money in Qatar is appealing. I’m wondering what is the timeframe for Boeing rated guys considering the latest developments with the Airbus lot?!

After sending them all the documents, I had my departure date changed to unknown due to the licence verification by QCAA. Let me know if you face the same issue! Also, if anyone wants some tips about the selection, feel free to PM me.

My IR is valid till the end of April, and my assessment is in a couple of weeks, I will get the results before the end of April for sure and if I pass, I will have to resign from my current company before going to sim for the LPC.

I was succesful in the interviews....was in Doba in January....They approveed my contract to hire me and asked for my resignation...I quit my company and now I´m stuck at home not knowing what´s going to happen since they have change my doj so many times already. When I send emails they don´t respond.

Quick question, my application status finally changed from “Application completed “ to “Meets basic requirements “, could someone please explain to what this means, other than the obvious statement, does this mean I am shortlisted or in a hold pool etc?
