Hey I applied in April and they replied a few days later. After I passed the first round online, they quickly sent me a date for the Assessment in Doha for the end of June. I guess they simply forgot me thereafter as they seem to be very busy. Now, I received a new invitation after they stopped replying for am month or so. I applied as a FO on the A320 fleet. I will see what I do.

Haha if I were you I would not move to Qatar in that case. All year round you are expected to wear your jacket, tie and hat and sweat like a pig. So yes, you'd better show up like that on your assessment as well

I applied at the beginning of June and just one week ago on 6th of July, my application status changed to "Meeting basic requirements" what means, that during one month period nobody even opened my application. Conclusion seems to be that there is either mess or that they don't need Cpts at the moment, maybe are more focused on FOs, nobody knows exactly. 🤔

One thing for sure is they're overloaded and trying to work their way through many applications. I think there's a lot of interviewing going on and a lot of no-shows due to travel restrictions etc. There's got to be an element of luck as to whether you get a quick assessment or not and how long it takes.

alpha_alpha, I'm in a similar situation, applied many months ago, status says application completed, am current on more than one of QRs Airbus aircraft, am flying as PIC on one, have done for many years. I've updated my application since my hours have increased and my hours are many times the minimum requirements but I've heard absolutely nothing either way. I've come to the conclusion they are not actively recruiting Airbus captains at present.

I presume the same. Even I am currently flying as PIC and over and above the requirements for Captain-Airbus.
I have recently heard that they have solved their matters with Airbus. Can anyone confirm?

Allegedly they are sorting some 20,000 applications. Just the act of applying does not mean you will get a response. If they want to assess you further they will contact you. That's how it works at most companies I think.
