Emirates Cadet Program..& Qatar Airways Cadet Program

I guess Emirates is looking for new blood....

Emirates is looking for young and ambitious Emiratis to join the National Pilots Pilot Program and become the best-trained pilots in the world and fly one of the newest and most modern fleets in the sky.

Required skills

  • Languages: English
  • Should hold a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid;
  • 18 – 26 years old;
  • Minimum: Grade 12 secondary school certificate; (An average score of 85%)
  • Good command of written and spoken English;
  • TOEFL: 510;
  • Military Service Status - Medically Fit
The Cadet Pilot Programme aims to develop selected high calibre students into future professional airline pilots who will play a pivotal role towards the growth of Qatar Airways’ fleets. They will also receive a hands-on role in Qatar’s flagship Airline. Successful Cadet Pilots will graduate with a Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) and a Bachelor Degree in aviation.

Required skills

  • Languages: English
  • Must be Qatari National or have a Qatari Mother;
  • Must be aged between 18 and 26 years at the time of commencing the MPL course;
  • Must have a Secondary School Education Certificate corresponding to Ministry of Education & Higher Education grading scale with an average of 75% or higher (Science stream);
  • Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 4.5 overall and no less than 4.5 in each component;
  • Must pass all the entry exams and placement tests;
  • Must pass the Qatar Airways interview;
  • Must be able to obtain a QCAA class 1 medical certificate;
  • Must be able to obtain CID clearance.

I don't really notice any change. This is nothing new. Cadets have been at both airlines for years.

Mid pandemic even the unmentionable had ads up for cadets. People are fear mongering by saying hiring has started again when it’s just local cadets being taken onboard. Cadets need to be planned years in advance. You cannot just pick someone from the street and have them flying in 3 months.

Huh... Thats weird. Local passport? I know an Italian dude who got in the cadet program... So it's not limited to locals anymore?
