When you know locals that have left after being offered 14 months pay... You know something is up.

It will continue to sink. They keep on bringing in the wrong people to lead them out of misery. Not in the same class as his neighbor. The current big guy there did not even complete the new Terminal project on time during his tenure whilst appointed there, yet got himself a very lucrative offer on the airways side. .

Rumors of a merge with EK to use the unmentionable 787s and 350s orders. Anyone knows more?

I doubt unmentionable has enough coins to pay for their 350 orders.

sheikh <UNMENTIONABLE> just have to wave his hand and the coins pop out from nowhere. That's the middle east sustainability.

Not the merger rumour again I'll eat my pilot hat if that happens. Same as the Emirates are going to have bases outside of Dubai it just doesn't happen, never say never though.

Cantbebothered- Might be worth remembering that it is AUH who have the money, backed by oil, Dubai oil is minimal, if at all. Was there first in 1969 and Dubai was the poor relation even then. The formation of the UAE was an idea to help each other along.

Count von Altibar

In this time and age it would be the smartest move. The UAE post covid won’t be able to handle 2 majors such as theoneweknow and EK.
