New Wave of Terminations at Gulf Air

New wave of inevitable redundancies in Gulf Air. Apparently no one was spared. Roughly 50-70 employees from every department were let go including senior captains and cabin crew. Bahrainis also apparently not spared this time but not sure how true this is. Insight would be helpful.

Seeing the Gulf Air planes grounded at Bahrain not surprising - and of course the "New" airport building completed but not opened with loss of many new routes

Sad indeed but inevitable. Company went strangely quiet on here becoming, possibly, more unmentionable than the unmentionable. GF handled one round of overstaffing during the grounding of the 767 fleet very ineptly indeed. Hope they learned lessons from that but I doubt it.

New Terminal rumoured to be opening in December.
Heard a lot of expats left. National flight crew being asked to fly for nothing. Hardly any flights and the loads are crap.
Feel for GF and staff
