I thought Carousel was from Blade Runner - no wonder I'm always confused when I watch it and its not there. At least that's that cleared up.
Panda Hmm well we've all suffered with his ilk. Maybe re jig Carousel? - 'line up and step beyond the door to receive your upgrade and keys to your 6 bedder and half acre in Surrey.' : )

Seems a little far fetched to me but ......
Also reported that 100% of the 777 are flying now and with many of the 777 pilots having also been made redundant the remainders must be feeling a heavy burden of hours, since they were never exactly heavy on pilots previously! Heard rumours quite a few have actually left and headed back to the US.

The aircraft’s importance to the airline is such that it generated 85% of Emirates’ pre-pandemic profits.

Now i understand why TC boasted that all other airline CEOs are idiots for not buying the 380. I almost feel ashamed having flown that loss making T7 for so many years.
Oh and i also feel silly having minored in business administration. All these years wasted with completely wrong assumptions about counting, i should have adopted the "Sean Spicer - period" method to understand these 85%.
Looking forward to an all 380 and no loss making T7 fleet in the near future.

If it’s such a Money maker - why they don’t have pilots for it anymore - and why is it parked than?
Or in other words T7 is paying the bills plus 15% of the profits while the 380 is creating 85% of the year after year shrinking profits

I am but a humble Airbus pilot. You will need to address these hard questions to a Boeing pilot as they have the answers.

But you don't need to search out one of us fine aviators with our razor-sharp intellects. There will never be another 380 constructed. This is NOT because Tim Clark had the production line shutdown so that he could shut out other airlines from access to the airplane and keep all the profits for himself.

I am just happy you can still remember the time you flew the 777 old fella. Great effort.
So this should be pretty easy to see if it's true or not. All the Boeing's are flying. And we hear they are flat out. Not many 380s flying. So if we only make 15% of the 2019 profit it must be right? Right?

Surely a modern, caring, socially responsible, good employer wouldn’t use legitimate sickness such as cancer, surgery, or pregnancy as a primary method of targeting staff for redundancy? Would they?
