Being successfully interviewed by Albert Teugels would result in a few decades of good times.

He did, so did I and the A300/310 too. Best was the A345 though, good times. Shame they ruined our playground with their egos. Seniority never saved many of us though.

And looking back wasn't he relatively harmless compared to those who came next. He might've put his name to a few changes but he was too thick to have come up with any of it himself.

TCK lost his macho mojo when AAR turned up as his boss, and stuck his puppeteering arm up his ....

Operated his repatriation flight to LFMN. Apparently he didn't say much.

I did want ask if he was still good friends with Doug G though. 🤣

“Pay peanuts, get Gibbons”, still makes me chuckle.

I remember the meeting with TCK and his Co-Op doing his last pilot face to face meeting. Those were they days when people had a vote, with their feet!

'We will, of course, try to do this as fairly as possible.'

Act surprised when the next letter comes...

They’ve put guys and families (those remaining) on 50 percent salary reduction for months now at short notice of unpaid leave. We all know the industry is in a dire state but the lacking of consideration and the blatant contempt is beyond anything imaginable. Boy how brightly the true colours of this company is showing. You have no shame EK! Wish you no good!

EK are in big trouble financially.. The airline extended itself hugely based on a business model which no longer applies. It is hardly surprising that they are shrinking to survive. The same applies to the other gulf states, I believe.

Guys no point being bitter about EK, unmentionable and others who are shedding there employee numbers to survive. They are just another airline trying to survive in the new abnormal.

Being thrown out of Dune, there doing you a favour believe me, go find your true potential elsewhere. Put your resources in new cv and cover letter and forget about the past, some of the posts here sound like it still has not sunk-in and still Living in denial !!

okAy so they fired you, lost your salary, accommodation allowance, travel ID90 privileges, medical, no longer cheap travel to attend holidays and go interviews, well there’s noone recruiting so your not loosing there, and covid means no holidays so no loss there think positive you have three months notice to develop plan B. Oh and go easy with the spending. By the time you have done all this , new jobs will be popping up in no time and few more months down the road you will be thinking what was all the fuss about loosing the previous job.

This time it's one month's unpaid leave for Airbus pilots before the end of November.

So.. get assigned 30 days unpaid leave on 2 days notice, and since we're on 50% anyway, only lose 1/2 a salary..

Or get assigned 30 days unpaid leave in Oct/Nov and lose another full salary..

Or did they just unwittingly announce that the 50% salary will be continuing through November?

Do you really think that salaries will go back to normal when they are giving unpaid leave?
