Don't know about that , but they are bucking the current trend and opening bases at Gatwick and Doncaster Sheffield . Maybe they know something the rest of the loco's don't , in which case maybe time to buy some shares .
Any update, did WAZ start flying yet?
Apparently pilots being assessed by Wizz Air are now being asked if they would accept AUH base – they didn't really ask that question in October.
Allegedly the amount of internal applications for AUH is a small number.

Looking at Wizz flight schedule out of Abu Dhabi, pilots will only work 10 days a month... (i.e. 20 days off / month).... as they will block 8.30 to 11.00 hours a day (2 sector day).
Unless they night-stop... which is definitly not Wizzair type of operations....

Out of desperation, I applied back in June 2020.
I was working with another airline in the area until covid pandemic made me redundant.
Just for information, my salary was almost double (inclusive allowances), in a cheaper place than Abu Dhabi and no kids at school.
For the money Wizzair is offering, you can have a decent life in Eastern Europe. Cost of living in UAE is at least double than other european countries. I can assure all of you, their salary won't be not enough. Rent in Abu Dhabi alone is the highest in UAE, not to mention school fees.
If you're single, you should be alright. But if you are a family of 3-4 or even more, you won't make without paying extra money.

and these conditions most likely wont improve until people start leaving the company for better opportunities around the middle east as wizz will only ever offer the bare minimum they can

Are people seriously applying for this ? EU/UK contract might be worth it for those who actually want to get a contract worth at least something but I would rather collect bins than accept the terms of the Abu Dhabi contract !
