What about accommodation? Is there actually an allowance as per the finalized package, if yes - can it cover the cost of some more or less reasonable apartment or do you have to top it up from your salary?

Accommodation allowance is 1000eur for FO, 1500 for Cpt.
Basic salary is same like in Wizz Hungary, so 1650 eur for Senior FO with bonding (2100 without)... Now after 15% salary deductions mentioned figures are even lower, so without flight pay.... Good luck!

Assuming 6 airplanes and the usual magical number of 12 pilots per airplane, that makes 72 pilots. Another 193 left from the April retrenchment, who knows if they will be offered anything at all.
short flights long nights
Am I missing something? Please don’t tell me that people think they can live on 6800 AED a month in AUH!!! Please tell me I’m wrong!

the picture shows EUR
fo 3500eur
capo 6800 eur
1500eur accomodation per month capo / 1000 fo
school 7500eur yearly
allowance no transport no provident
flight pay I don’t know
equals basic salary
fo Basic /year 255.000AED or 61.500eur
capi basic /year 428.000aed or 103.500 eur
MAS the 7500eur housing are just 32000aed you need to top it up by at least a 100.000aed for a descent place worth having your Familie there
2000aed for water/elec/cooling
means not more 300k aed/72k EUR per year im the Poket
Schooling allowance with 18k eur will work out just so
If you want to compare to EK it’s about 25% less the new joiners EK FO for a CAPO
6kEUR sounds nice tax free - true but live is expensive
groceries are basically double than in west Europe - triple to East Europe - montly groceries will take about 1500 to 1800 Eur a month for families
once you start activities (in school) for kids and families money start running very quickly even with discount - if you are short on spending and u keep it tight saving will be 1000 per month if lucky and nothing happens like you have a loan for the car the furniture or car breaks down and needs a fix

based on 80hr or basic - I guess the first
so after top up primary school and housing to afford a place for the family take home less than 20000
and with secondary school less than 16000 - Wow - the glamours of being a pilot
not included the triple prices on grocery or internet, air condition and electricity, the loan for the car and furniture- sounds a bit like pay to fly
funny - they have two ex ek who should know the price tag on living done here - still that’s the offer
abu should be the cash cow for the rest apperently

What's the final deal with transport? Shuttle from fixed stops? Because paying for a car, fuel, Salik and probably also airport parking would be quite a chunk from that salary...

Good thing if at least there's place in the crew room to lock up said bike without paying. In the not-so-distant past, I've seen crew members of a now-defunct European airline actually cycling to work on a wet and chilly autumn day and then ditching the bikes in their company's briefing room. This place was probably not an isolated example. Things like that mostly tend to happen when there are few alternatives available in case you don't like how it is - and, for some time from now, there won't be any.
On a serious note and further to the AUH package discussion, what's the deal with medical insurance there? Any health care provided, at least in case of an emergency?
