EK: Airbus to Boeing

Chances of a candidate with Airbus 320 time to be recruited as EK T777 FO? Thanks

Slim, but it depends on how desperate they are. At the moment they are really short on the A380 so you would probably end up on the big bus. Either way, you don't get offered a choice so it is very much a "take it or leave it". Bear in mind that they can change the type they put you on right up to the start of the course, and sometimes after that!

Why do you want the 777? Be careful what you ask for !

How about you apply? if you're accepted onto Airbus, respectfully turn them down, with the note that, as you'd made clear at selection, you would only accept a B777 course. Then, depending on the company requirements, they may offer you the Boeing.

Both fleets are needing crew, so it shouldn't be a major problem. But as pointed out, they may change fleet once you've joined, in which case you have to be prepared to pull the plug then.

Fatbus, I suppose the obvious reason for wanting the 777 is that it gives you more choices when you leave. Maybe people are now planning on leaving before they even join!

They gave me an airboos to start with, told them point blank that I wasn't coming unless they changed it, so they did.
But that was 15 years ago and now they are more desperate than ever!!
