Buy Etihad and the pilot shortage may be fixed - that's a lot more crews to play with and can only assume some flights / aircraft would get dropped.

380 roster blows these days as well. I am constantly at 100hrs.

99hrs for October plus ground school and 2 days in the box.

no wonder we are referred to as lazy. Complaining of 100hrs but only doing 99hrs and a bit of free stuff. : )

Only a few days to go, and it would seem the shortage is getting worse, never mind though as live leave is now magically available to those who dont wish to cross the correct hand with silver.

It’s a miracle it’s solved! Superior Habibi genetics must be responsible.

Can any of my 380 colleagues confirm the rumour that the RR powered aircraft, will be requiring a period of downtime to address an issue with high oil consumption?

If there is any truth to this, then I suspect this could make a noticeable difference to available capacity?

A way out?

Very sad to see the crippling work patterns now in EK, this cannot in the long term be any good for pilots or the company.
I hear a rumour that Virgin may recruit B777 pilots. A much better lifestyle for those who have had enough.

With the demise of Primera Air, I guess we will get some Scandinavians applying. But there are better options around.

Will be interesting to see how many take up the offer, now EK is far from being the airline of choice.

Reading TCTs scribble today I had a flash back to only 14yrs ago when TCK wrote that we were getting DECs . Promises were made then too about no FO being left behind . Ask how it worked out for FOs on the 330 fleet back then when their commands blew out to 7yrs when 777 fellas were taking 3yrs . I take it this was what was needed to bring Easy pilots over.

Funny how they can talk about the need for experienced pilots, and go to such measures to hire some short haul ones . And at the same time allow Capts to keep leaving . They must think worse of us than I believed if they really think we are going to believe this sh?t.

Let the seasonal flight changes and cancellations continue . Muppets .

Why do the need Easy pilots at all, Don? Just a few posts above yours is an article telling us there is no pilot shortage.🤬🤬

The muppets can’t even get their story straight to make the lies at least the same.

Muppets is an understatement. More waste of money spent covering up the person responsible by firing those around her and losing good people as a result!
