Wouldn't it also depend on which position you're applying for, Cpt or FO, and which fleet, Airbus or Boeing, and if WB or NB?

Of course I don't want to piss people who have been waiting for almost 2 years but i don't really think Qatar follows any kind of seniority when they allocate a joining date. There are very experienced pilots or people who performed well at the interview, getting a DOJ a few months after the interview. There are so many people interested in joining Qatar and they can, understandably, really pick what they want.

As I have stated many times before, it’s really competitive at the mo. Even more so than in the past, as QR seems to be the employer of choice in the region inspite of everything that is going on.

Good luck to those swimming (hang in there we need all the pilots we can get) and welcome aboard to those with DOJs. See you on the line soon.

OW.

PS how quickly you can give notice and accept a DOJ also influences greatly as sometimes requirements change very quickly. So what you say to that question at interview plays a part too.

Hi Guys

Would appreciate if you could shed a light on how the interview process at Doha was, since you all are in the holding pool?
You could PM me.
Thanks in Advance

Welcome and congratulations that is good news.
Bare in mind apart from the holdingpool WhatsApp group there is also a DOJ whatsappgroup.
Feel free to join and come and see whom are starting together with you and perhaps going through similar questions sharing the answers together.
Kind regards Pool cleaners

Hi,
If we look at the people in the WhatsApp group we would say yes. After the blockade things have been slowing down and nobody had a DOJ for a while. After a while things started to pick up initially with the Boeing FO's only. Thereafter the Boeing Captains started slowly getting DOJ and now also slowly the Airbus WB FO's are starting.
There is no fixed logic in sequence of assessment dates as such as there are always exceptions being made but I am sure Qatar is trying to be fair as much as they can.

Kind regards,

Pool cleaners

In our opinion the process was simple and straight forward,
After a small introduction about the company everybody has to do the ATPL questions. Thereafter the group is being split up for interviews with different people. When passing the interview you have the simulator.
This is pretty much the sequence.
Good luck

Hi guys and gals,

Long time observer here.
Have been waiting in the pool since June 2018 as a 320 FO. Received an email today that my job offer has been withdrawn, no further explanation (update: after re-reading the email, it seemed apparent that what looked like a formality of writing a withdraw letter is their actual explanation. Still don't understand what it means as I wasn't contacted by them prior to the offer being withdrawn. Their explanation goes "we were unable to obtain the necessary approvals to secure your employment in the role of First Officer.").

The status on the applicant check-in website also shows offer withdrawn. Anyone else?

Sure, 3500TT applied for 320/330/340 FO (typed on 320). Hadn’t heard anything since around October/November when I was asked for updated flight times. Couple of weeks ago I submitted updated documents (medical, LPC, IR/TR validity, CV) and wrote the FD Talent team just to check the uploaded documents were in order. No reply until the “job offer has been withdrawn” that I mentioned earlier.
Was wandering if anyone else has had their offer withdrawn as well with a similar reason.

Did you already have a start date with them? Or still in the hold when you got the offer withdrawn?

There were some “rumors recently “ that there is now a non poaching agreement between Latam and Qr, so if you are part of the LAN network that is probably a confirmation that it is true.
Qr used to have similar deal with Emirates- pilots had to wait 1 year from resigning to join other airline

possible....issue with Civil Aviation receiving confirmation of your licence, some reason govt denying issuance of your visa,
poaching agreement

try writing them back and asking them to be more specific, and is there any remedy

Even if there is a no poaching agreement, why would he be offered a job in the first place if they knew this already

Any tips for the Interview? More specifically technical questions they like to ask.
I’m applying for TR777 Captain.

Thanks in advance.
