Wonder if they are offering the villas at DSO that they just kicked everyone out of?? Wouldn't that be just like the beloved management...

The FOs housing allowance is 151,200AED/yr and Capt's housing is 180k/yr.

They really are completely out of touch with reality. There’s absolutely no hope...

If we are talking about EK then those amounts you've quoted are way off the mark, the current allowances are significantly more than that!

However the rental values they are demanding are massively inflated compared to what the market is asking. Especially when you consider the quality/location specifically Meydan South. Just have a look at whats on the market regarding four bed villas in areas such as Arabian Ranches 2, Mudon, Akoya, etc all brand new villas, all detached from EK and all within the same asking price but for a much better product.

Someone needs to separate the fantasy from reality in HQ.

They are talking about Flydubai…
This is what is on offer to the Flydubai pilots should they wish to rent a villa in those places via Emirates

So, Fly Dubai crews can get a housing allowance, but only if they rent from EK at an inflated price. Do I have that right?

No, they've always had housing allowance. EK is now allowing them to rent from them, as you correctly stated, at inflated prices. Can't see why anyone would go for it.

They just try to take the money they gave to the crew with one hand with the other… Very smart

A little off topic but can you guys confirm if new joiners have the option of not entering company accommodation and taking a housing allowance?

Yes, they can. Once your in though to move out you need to buy not rent to get the allowance. Make your decision carefully.
