As a captain, married with one kid. 2 cars, once a week dinner out, normal life, how much would you think I could save? 15 k dhs? 18 k dhs????

Depending how much you flew it can be a bit more in that situation. I'm managing 30k+ with 2 school going kids on a good month. Normally (average is a 70hrs block month) at least 20+, excluding paying back a personal loan and not looking at the spending in detail. So yes, not bad.

How much is the school allowance for each kid? Do they pay the allowance also for kids studying abroad? Thanks

Hello High Energy, Is this saving u are talking about inclusive of pension funds being paid or do you still have to deduct this amount? Tks.

We don't have a pension fund , we only have the mandatory legal end of service benefits as per the UAE labour law.
To give you an idea , for the captains who started the company 9 years ago , if they leave today they will receive around 198000 AED which is equivalent to 53914 USD or 38546 GBP or 43485 EUR at the today exchange rate

It seems they don’t hire anymore. At least there are no pilot positions open on their website. Any inside information would be appreciated.

Strange. From one of the reqruiters I heard they are way short of their Captain numbers. Not even enough to maintain current levels let alone expansion.
