Trip planning - SHJ or DWC

Worked for ABY in the past so I am aware of the DESDI hold but no experience going into DWC.

Now planning a trip to Dubai on bizjet. Want to know if the DESDI hold only affects DXB inbound or it will also affect DWC?

Any info is appreciated!

Routing inbound DWC via DESDI you may be asked to hold during peak periods but if you advise area control early they will pull you out and get you to DWC without delay. Still very quiet at DWC.

Routing to DWC as you said is via DESDI.

Operating EK Cargo in/out of there, have never held once, even when LVP's were in place at all airports.

So even if they are stacked up at DESDI, you should sail straight through. They may get you down early to accomplish this. And be prepared for track shortening and possibly vectors to the south of DWC for a circuit entry

If you're approaching from the east, you probably won't even get to see BUBIN...you'll most likely get straight to GEXIK if RWY30 is in use, or DW416 to join the southern downwind for RWY12......

DWC is a dream to fly into, no delays and no holding. ATC are very accommodating.
