Perhaps oversimplifying things a bit there don't you think? You seem to be content with your employer rostering someone to fly 86 hours in a month containing 12 days leave. I think most people would find THAT strange.

EEU you might have come here to fly airplanes but I'm pretty sure all the rest of us came here for work that complimented and supported our life and the life we planned to share with family and friends. If all you want to do is fly airplanes then congratulations you won...

380 troll. u must be a nice fella in the flightdeck. One good thing is : at least i don' t have to fly with u...
i hear from our CC that there are indeed a few 'super' special guys on your fleet....
Guys, don't count on any sympathy in this part of the world. Just look at the lot in the BC...When have they ever done anything to ease the pain...
Same here btw : 10 days leave and got my 85plus hours on the tractor to sweeten the deal...I don't see any light at the end of my tunnel so the only way out is...out. thanks for the gentle reminder EEU...

Is it me or lately there have been a few suspicious trolls in the forum? - we all know how good certain company is at PR - I'm afraid from the bouncy castle someone has decided to join the discussion forum around here!

From the marvellous lifestyle of 85 hours in 18 days to the one talking about the wonders of the new freighter deal... seriously?

EK isn't wonderful (work isn't) But working/flying for them is what I came here to do. I cannot fault them for asking me to fly. And frankly, I find it much easier and tolerable to be positive rather than negative.

I don't HAVE to be here, I choose to be here. When I no longer wish to be, I'll quit, but I promise I won't try to poison others with my misery.
Please can you translate that in English??

If doing 86 hours in 16 days with half the month on leave is acceptable to you just because you came to fly GOOD luck to you hero...
Personally I am here to work to live NOT the other way around... I am not living ONLY working hence my decision to bail out like many others are very soon so you fill your boots with all the flying you want

A6-EEU please tell me that you seriously don't think its acceptable to be flying 86 hours with 12 days of leave in the month? The productivity is 88 for May I believe so that poor soul has saved 2 hours flying from a full month for 12 days of leave.

If you find that acceptable then you are going to be labelled a troll and for good reason.

There are good and bad, but that is not one of the good points.

Yay for A6EEH, bet he still cannot believe that they pay him "so" much money to fly such a big, big airplane.

Those trips alone would be a full months work in most LH airlines, without any leave.

No sorry you are more than carrying your weight with 86 with 12 days of leave in the month.

You are trolling...

I'm glad I do nothing like the hours EEU claims and have a life by not slaving for EK. The hours are just one of the many reasons why EK does not interest me.

With EK announcing they are ditching seven of their twelve USA routes today and reducing frequencies on the remaining five, I hope for your health and lifestyle sakes it has a positive affect on all of you with EK.

hahah! 1000 hrs on a G4!

fatbus has so outed you. Sorry A6EEU, you have zero credibility. Even if what you say is true - max hours on a bizjet, managed to get hired without the quals - it only proves that your argument is ****e: "well at least EK is marginally better than my previous, TRULY deplorable outfit".

Textbook troll.

You'll have to do far better to circumvent the bs detectors of the posters on this forum. They've had far more experience honing them than you'll ever be able to comprehend.

I think you got that a bit wrong I'm afraid. EK is not ditching any routes. SEA/BOS/LAX going from double daily to one daily. MCO/FLL going from daily to five a week.

It would be my pleasure to go to the B777 if that's where the company needed me.

Two choices here my friends: Stay or go. If we stay, we cooperate, including switching fleets if that's what the company needs from us. If we go, then we are on our own. The choice is ours.

The Co. "needed" 330 Captains to to go as FOs on the 380.

So you it would be your "pleasure" to cooperate with a downgrade to another fleet, correct?

Yes. I wouldn't be happy with it, but I work for my employer, and therefore do what they ask. If I wish not to, then I'd simply resign.
