Staff Travel after Resignation?

hey all,

What is the procedure for using up left-over SRC's after leaving EK? Thought they were good for booking within one year of leaving, to be flown within one year of booking.

All emails to [email protected] go unanswered.

Or is this just yet another broken agreement?

that is correct, the only stipulation is that you must book by email and stating how you are going to pay the tax. Hillariously they do suggest sending your credit card number and cvc to them as an alternative.

The flights do not appear on trips until they are paid for.

There is a two week minimum before you want to fly and they effectively expire two weeks before the anniversary of leaving because of this.

Thanks Desertweasel,

As I'm no longer there I don't have access to TRIPS. Can you confirm the email address I posted is correct? Is it possible to pay the taxes at outstations? There's no way in hell I'm sending CC information in an open email. And where is the information about the two weeks lead time posted?

Apologies for the questions, but as I've received no response whatsoever to inquiries not a lot of avenues to pursue!

Ticket request has to be raised at least two weeks prior to avoid forfeiture

You can take tickets for your dependants listed on HR system

Thanks Goretex,

Yes I received a similar email when I inquired some months ago, minus the line about 2 weeks:

You’ve X SRC to issue within 1 year from last day of service.

Name of passenger
Flight Information:
Dates:
Staff Number:
Passport information:
Which local office that you are going to process this request by cash Or Credit Card details (VISA/MASTER) with expiry date:
Contact Number :

Best regards

The email was from the address you listed. But then when I go to try and actually request a booking, they just plain ignore multiple emails. Some things never change. Travel dates now passed, and 1 year deadline approaching. Well done, EK.

Is it still true then, that once issued the tickets can be used for up to one year from booking?
