10% of the 380 fleet is parked outside the maintenance hangars, not hidden from view, perhaps because there is no more room inside said hangers, at any one time.

I'd guess some might be parked as they are getting rid of a few. Maybe a few awaiting delivery. Otherwise it makes more sense NOT to park specific airframes but reduce the flying that each does.

The 6 in DWC are being retired, obviously.

After spending most of November at DWC at least two of the supposed six retired 777s positioned back to DXB and flew schedules on the 30th. These aircraft were delivered to EK back in the nineties and surely are overdue for retirement. Does the fact they are being pressed back into service after a short period of storage mean there is a shortage of aircraft and not a surplus?

Did the first RR A380 arrive on the property yesterday as planned? I haven't heard any mention.

I usually see a bevy of "Blowfish" & Triplas beneath us on short finals 30R and a few more hiding behind the maintenance hangar further right.
Don't they employ 2 ginger-beers full time to tow these parked aircraft around all day to make it look like there's some action going on & no probs?
What's the name for a collection of stationary aircraft, by the way?
A Pod of Blowfish / a gaggle of Triplas...

I think a collection of parked aircraft is referred to as 'a failure'

There is always a positive spin, rather saying what happened to CX or Rossiya deals, B773s are reactivated because RR A380s are not yet ready to match the demand.

As of yesterday, a total of zero (none, zilch, nichts, nada) EK freighters are parked in CPH. Unless, that is, they've all magically transformed themselves into a striking resemblance of a USAF C-17.

I believe the 2 parked at OMAA are going in the ADAT for maintenance.

There was an A380 by the BA hangers at LHR last week.

And I'm pretty certain there's 3/4 parked up at RAK too.
