Until now, the powers that be have used the excuse that Commercial change fleets on routes right up until the last minute which is why pilot rosters are delayed. Cabin Crew get theirs much earlier because it essentially doesn't change much for them because of cross-qualification.

So.................... now that the company is proudly bragging that it is a 2 fleet airline are we going to get our rosters earlier? The 777 and 380 aren't going to be interchanged by Commercial like the 777 and 330/340 *apparently* were.

Or will it just be another case of their lies become more blatantly visible?

Keep, I half believe them. They are so disfunctional and unorganised that it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't know if the flight is 777 or 380. With poor loads the 777 may get back some of the sweeter trips!!!!

There is more 777-380 chopping and changing right now than ever before!

Slightly off the main topic but it hurt a little yesterday listening to the cabin crew comparing their December rosters.

The rosters are implemented by the people that are now doing workshops....
Guys, are you realy expecting anything to change?
They where compressed for a reason and they know exactly what they are doing..
Gentlemen, EK buys your helth with the salary.
They have no interest in your livestyle or family live...
Wake up.. NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

fatbus, weren't you on the bus?
if you are, find it hard to believe u would have only 9 days off.... looking at all my mates rosters on the 380, they all have loads of them...like another company....
for those on the tractor indeed, not a chance to waste 1 of the 8-9 days off.
never ever.

Wouldn't it be nice, if when away on leave, you could email in to have that post leave flight exchanged for more leave days. It could be called, I don't know, something like "live leave". Cool idea or what?
Just ask your cabin crew all about it. Seems to work pretty well for them.

We've been able to do it for years - short term leave. Except it's never available due to lack of 'resources'!

We have adhoc leave that needs to be in a few months advance of when you want it (never seen it approved). Never heard of the option of extending leave you are already away on like the cabin crew have.

Short term leave, email FDM at least 48 hours before. No idea why it's not published anywhere.
