Pictures on social media showing smoke on the threshold at DXB, WS reported on finals, but no other information seems to be available yet.

I hope it's nothing too serious. 😟

Just driven past. Has come to rest around K11. Right gear collapsed and facing a heading of around 270. Looks like the right wing on fire.

Looks like there is no gear at all and the right engine and possibly wing is completely separated from the aircraft.

If that's an EK "incident", what's an accident???? More like the definition below and this is an accident!

An aviation accident is defined by the Convention on International Civil Aviation Annex 13 as an occurrence associated with the operation of an aircraft, which takes place between the time any person boards the aircraft with the intention of flight until all such persons have disembarked, where a person is fatally or seriously injured, the aircraft sustains damage or structural failure or the aircraft is missing or is completely inaccessible.[1] If the aircraft is destroyed or severely damaged so that it must be written off, it is further defined as a hull loss accident.[2] Annex 13 further defines an aviation incident as an occurrence, other than an accident, associated with the operation of an aircraft which affects or could affect the safety of operation.[1]

Several videos available now.

Yes, the number 2 engine came off as the aircraft slid along the ground.

A fuel explosion on the right wing, blowing off a large portion of the wing.
