Actually I'm very well rested since I'm enjoining my vacations in greece.
Maybe I haven't expressed my point correctly or your beer is giving you blurred vision 😂.
I wanted to point out that, sop and manualwise, ek is like a big ryanair after all that operates in a different enviroment.
The point was that the 737, 777, 787 share the same exact philosophy of flying, take off with a/t, lnav vnav with the difference that ryanair doesn't use the options correctly since they engage vnav around 800 ft gnd and other little things.
The 737 and 787 have also the IAN option for approach that the actual 777 is missing.
What exactly made you laugh so much ?? Maybe when I said that transitioning from 737 to 777 is a piece of cake ? Well it is actually
Ask the fz guys that fly everyday to kabul, khatmandu, bagdad etc etc
Once they came on the 777 they finally relaxed 😎

but 737 and 777 fly exactly the same way
However, the AFCS software, system architecture, and the FMC software and operation is very different under the hood.
It would be prudent to get your nose in the books and read and understand. Little things like the hidden modes, when do they operate, what is the difference between Lvl Chg and FlCh, what does the quick return function do for you?
And a little humbleness is always good. You are never too old to learn.

JACK...
Please tell me that your badge says "CAPTAIN OBVIOUS"
Was completely unaware how Ryan Air contributed to the thread entitled "B777 Emergency DXB". Unless you are eluding to the dangers of multiple selfies and instagram updates
I went the opposite way, and it was frustrating. And yes, your post made me laugh. The fact that you had to pump your chest and brag about being on "vacations" made me smile. A little defensive, eh?

' Ex FZ Guys flying the 777 into Kabul and Bagdad are relaxed" . That would have to be one of the most worrying posts I have ever read.

The final report is supposed to be released at the two year mark.
Given that the much respected A380 training manager was "repositioned", over the Moscow and JFK " incidents", maybe we will finally see a "repositioning" of the less respected B777 training manager.

Pilot error is possible and dealt with accordingly (punishment) at the sandpit. As long it's not a local...

We all know what caused it and the regulator knows this but as with any accident, there will be various processes and procedures or the lack of these, which helped contribute towards the event. The level of time-consuming diplomacy that the GCAA will exercise to ensure the least number of noses are placed out of joint, would make the UN proud!

Or more importantly if those AA pilots had a clue where they were there would not be 180 or so dead people.
The pilots did so many dumb and wrong things on that flight that they deserved to die, it’s just ashamed they took so many innocent passengers with them.

What a profound lack of humanity and understanding of human limitation.

Typical bashing of anything American. America is not a perfect place by any stretch, but a place BILLIONS would go if the gates were opened. When the stuff hits the fan who is called and who steps up?? Not Russia, Not China, Not Iran, Not Norway, Not Korea. So keep yapping!

That has got to be the prize winner for "stupid and heartless" thing to say. Must be nice to be so perfect and above all others.
