Ek to QR recruitment ban?

Morning all,

Does anyone know if there is a mutual agreement between EK and QR banning recruitment of pilots.

Also if anyone knows. How open would QR be to taking in B777 DEC from EK and offering a part time or commuting roster?

Thanks in advance.

Hasn't there been a ban for quite a while already? From what I understand if you've ever worked for QR you can forget about working at EK/EY/FZ and QR doesn't take from those airlines either. But I stand to be corrcted.

Unless one airline desperately needs something than anything is suddenly possible.

In the past, many pilots have left QR and went to EY. We can't go to EK.
It may have changed.

I was a long time ago in QR. You had to be out of QR for at least 6 months to do the interview. OR, you had very good connections. I am quiet sure that this "gentlemen"(haha) agreement goes as well in the other direction.

Left QR long time ago(thanks god) and applied for EK about 8 months ago. Got an invitation for interview short after. After a bit of thinking (and reading the ME threads) I decided that I am just not willing anymore to return to the "sand pit"(why would somebody go to the QR snakepit coming from EK, no improvement at all??!)

Part time/Commuting? Haha, good one. In case you are serious, read the EK/QR threads and you will understand. What I heard QR improved a bit in terms of OFF in a row,(I had sometimes 3 days at all in Doha), but asking for part time or even commuting would open pandoras box for QR(as everyone would like to have that).

Good luck.
