Qatar Schools.

Quick question to our Qatar guys.

I've been invited for selection in Doha. I have 2 kids, 19 months and nearly 4. What are the chances of getting the kids into good schools? Does Qatar Airways help getting the kids into schools or is it the nightmare I've been reading on the various Doha expat websites?

I've also heard there's a problem with housing availability, is this true?

Thanks,

Mik.

Does Qr provide relocation allowance? And as for housing, could you guys name a few places, apartments that are provided to flight crew?

Cheers.

There's waiting lists for all schools, particularly in the lower year groups. Which ones you apply to will depend entirely on where you live to avoid spending hours in the car each day travelling!

Feel free to PM if you want any info.

British schools

The schools are, Doha English Speaking School, Doha College and Sherbourne. All excellent, but all extremely difficult to ge into. The last time I looked their waiting lists closed due to demand. Emirates have a tie up with schools giving preferred status and so better in that respect. A lot nicer for the family as well.
