Would some senior captain with balls of steal please send this little man a reply to that e-mail!
I am simply a lowly FO with much to lose if I were to write to him what I think of his "Wine Crates Project". What an utter UTTER disgrace. I have had much hope in the last few months that things are going to turn in our favour but this last e-mail just shows how completely out of touch they are with reality.
A complete circus. So much for the worlds most "loved" airline brand. If only the public knew and understood what a useless bunch run this show.

After reading the email, the first thing I asked myself is 'where is the other 70% of the money going?'
Sounds more like a scam to line someone's pocket, rather than a good deed which generates cash for charity.

I just showed the email to my wife - she went one step further and opened up the pictures, I had to look when she started to snigger. What a load of utter s@£#e!! 750aed for that unit thing?!! Jeez, I'm totally on board for helping out a charitable organisation but this is just a scam and an utter disgrace. Someone is making (or not hopefully as no one surely will buy this crap) a tidy profit out of this. Or maybe it's an early attempt to try and meet next years totally unrealistic profit target! I'll throw a few aed at the charity directly thanks.
Even in Ryanair we weren't subjected to emails where some bright spark had sewn together all the empty Bullseye Baggies wrappers to form a trendy and fetching rug or quilt and then tried to flog them for over €100!!

The e-mail is actually signed by somebody calling themselves:
"Business Planning and Development Specialist- Service Delivery"
I have absoultely no idea what that job title means but do you think our illustrious DSVP has had his e-mail account hacked? That is the only explanation I can think of and for the sake of the credibility of Flight Operations I hope it is true
As for the products on offer, they look like something out of a GCSE woodworking project.

You guys have it all wrong....
This is just another venture for TCAS's retirement fund, which will eventually see him selling recycled furniture, used pilot's uniforms and fake pilot's wheelie bags from the back of a Del Boy 3-wheeler Reliant Regal down the East London docks.
Give the guy a break fellas. Lovely Jubbly.
